The pasture crop in the rear paddock has had a nice emergence, with an excellent strike. However, it seems to have stalled and closer inspection shows many of the fresh green grass shoots being eaten to about 3cm from the surface. The culprits are obvious (a larger mob was hiding behind the trees to the right of picture). For international visitors, kangaroo poo is quite distinctive! In Spring the growth will overwhelm their ability to graze it, plus once we let the cattle into the paddock the kangaroos tend to stay away.
