We have today (5 May) completed our sowing for Autumn 2019. Across 7 paddocks we have a variety of oats (Victory), oats (Saia) & ryegrass, brassicas and lucerne. We had our first rain last week, but the ground is still very dry and so we are hoping that the current forecast for rain this week is correct. We need a lot of rain. We continue to feed the herd with lovely South Australian oaten hay, as we wait for our pastures to start growing again, and they are doing fine. So now we wait .......
